CALL TO ARTISTS – Join the Global Cardboard Challenge!
Do ArT Foundation is partnering with the Imagination Foundation on OCTOBER 6th for the GLOBAL CARDBOARD CHALLENGE – http://cainesarcade.com/dayofplay/
The event is centered around a creative 9 yr old named Caine from Los Angeles and his amazing imagination and project of building an Arcade out of cardboard. This inspiration story was captured by Nivan Mullick just 4 months ago on video and has received over 7 million hits already!

If you are an artist with a knack for cardboard or just want to accept the challenge, you will be listed on the website with your artist name and website link and your work will be featured in a Silent Auction! You will receive 40% of the proceeds from the sale and the rest will be donated to help create the Imagination Foundation – a center in Boyle Heights for kids to explore and create with cardboard and other recycled materials! Do ArT Foundation is partnering with Caine’s Arcade team – the Imagination Foundation personal to make this into a reality.
Here’s how we would like you to Participate!
1. Bring work made out of Cardboard – Sculptures, 2d art on cardboard such as Drawings or Paintings – Be creative! and place in the Silent Auction or just on Display
2. Send us your website link so we can promote your participation! Send us images of any artwork on Cardboard that you plan to bring – (if you have an image, if you are creating something then please let us know when it will be complete). Let us know your starting bids if you are placing work in the auction – sizes and an idea of what to expect! If you are planning to display items only that is totally fine too – we are looking forward to seeing all the creativity come to life – let us know what you are planning to display so we know how much space will be needed!
3. You are welcome to come and create on site if you prefer! You are a creative spirit! Come and have fun! Bring extra cardboard so that we don’t run out! (please) But come and help the kids – and/or make your own work at the event – This will be a guaranteed GREAT TIME!!!!
